You're dealing with persistent back pain and stiffness that won't improve, no matter how much rest you take.

You're frustrated because your pain keeps getting worse despite trying painkillers, massages, or chiropractic adjustments.

You're afraid to go back to running, lifting, or exercising because you worry it will aggravate the pain.

Simple things like bending down, tying your shoes, or getting out of bed in the morning have become uncomfortable or painful.

You've been told "it's just part of aging" or that you "slept on it wrong", and you know that can't be the whole story.

You're looking for a real, lasting solution to lead a more active life, not another temporary band-aid.

A Message From A Licensed Physical Therapist

It’s very common to think that back pain is nothing serious, that it’ll just go away on its own. People blame it on sleeping in a weird position, a random spasm, or simply “getting older.” But then weeks turn into months, and nothing changes.

If that’s happening to you, you’re far from alone. Lower back pain is the #1 problem we treat at our clinic, and every person who walks through our door wants to know the same thing:

"Why Is This Still Happening To Me After Months Of Putting Up With It?"

The truth is, most back pain isn’t caused by a single event. It’s usually the result of years of poor posture, weak core muscles, and movement patterns that slowly break down the structures in your lower back. That time you “threw it out” picking something up? That was just the final straw, not the actual cause.

And here’s what makes it worse: the most common advice, rest, painkillers, and “wait it out”, doesn’t address any of that. It just buys time while the underlying problem keeps getting worse.

That’s exactly why so many people end up living with chronic back pain for years, thinking it’s something they just have to accept. It’s not. And I’m here to prove it.
Myth vs. Reality

What You've Been Told Vs. The Truth

Before finding us, most of our patients were given well-meaning but ineffective advice. Here’s what’s wrong with it, and what actually works.

✕ Bad Advice
Just REST And It'll Go Away

You may feel temporary relief, but once you resume activities, the pain and stiffness come right back. Rest doesn’t fix the underlying dysfunction, it just delays confronting it.

✓ The Reality
Targeted Movement Is The Cure

Your back needs the right exercises to rebuild strength and restore proper mechanics. Strategic, guided movement, not avoidance, is what eliminates back pain for good.

✕ Bad Advice
It's Just Part Of Getting Older

Back pain and stiffness as you age is not normal and not inevitable. This myth causes millions of people to accept a problem that is entirely treatable, and miss out on years of active living.

✓ The Reality
Age Is Not The Problem

Weakness, immobility, and poor movement habits are the problem, and those can be fixed at any age. Our patients in their 50s and 60s regularly return to training pain-free.

✕ Bad Advice
Take Painkillers And Push Through

Pain medication is addictive, carries health risks, and only masks symptoms. It does nothing to address why your back hurts, and the pain always returns when the pills wear off.

✓ The Reality
Fix The Cause, Not The Symptom

When you treat the root cause, weak muscles, poor mechanics, joint dysfunction, you eliminate the pain at its source. No pills required, and the results actually last.

✕ Bad Advice
Surgery Is Your Only Option
Surgery is presented as the only solution because it’s often the only option your surgeon offers. But the vast majority of back pain responds extremely well to conservative treatment.
✓ The Reality
Physical Therapy Often Outperforms Surgery

Research consistently shows that for most back pain conditions, targeted physical therapy delivers equal or better outcomes than surgery, with zero downtime and zero surgical risk.

What Hasn't Worked

You've Probably Also Tried…

None of these are your fault. They’re the most common paths people take, and they almost never provide the lasting relief you’re looking for.

🧘

Yoga & Stretching

A friend recommended their yoga class, but certain poses made the pain worse, and you left feeling more discouraged than when you started.

📱

YouTube Exercises

You tried exercises from "experts" online, but without knowing your specific issue, they either did nothing or aggravated the pain further.

💆

Massage & chiro

You felt great for a day or two after each session, but the relief never lasted, and you kept needing to go back again and again.

🩺

Generic Physical Therapy

You tried PT at a big clinic where you saw a different person each visit, got handed a sheet of exercises, and never felt like anyone understood your actual problem.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long will it take to feel relief from my back pain?

Most patients notice meaningful improvement within 2–4 sessions, though full recovery depends on how long you’ve had the pain, its underlying cause, and your goals. We’ll give you a realistic timeline after your initial assessment so you know exactly what to expect.

In most cases, no. A skilled hands-on assessment can identify the root cause of your back pain without imaging. MRIs often reveal age-related findings (like disc bulges) that aren’t actually the source of pain. If imaging is genuinely needed, we’ll tell you and help coordinate with the right provider.

In many cases, yes. Surgery should be a last resort for most back conditions, and a large body of research shows that conservative care produces equal or better long-term outcomes for many conditions, including herniated discs and sciatica. We’ll honestly assess whether we can help and refer you out if surgery is truly the best option.

Almost never. Our philosophy is to keep you moving and training, modified as needed, while we resolve the pain. Complete rest tends to weaken the supporting muscles and prolong recovery. We’ll help you train smarter, not stop.

Both. Whether your pain started yesterday or you’ve been dealing with it for years, our approach is the same: identify the true root cause, address it with hands-on care and targeted exercise, then build resilience so it doesn’t return.
